My current debate do I quit my 9-5 or do I continue to make my bosses richer while they continue to overwork me??

The Pro and Con list doesn't always account for the emotional part of the decision making process. I have been working for my current bosses for over 14 years and to see where we are at now is very disappointing. There is truth behind money changes people and power isn't for everyone when those holding the power are irresponsible with it.

Not to brag but my Customer Service skills are very top notch but it comes with a true desire to help and do what's in the best interest of our Clients and People. For them from where I am sitting it's become mainly about the money. I followed them to the path of independence truly believing in their vision to do what's right for the Client what I didn't account for is that they would over work me to the point I cannot function in my family life with the same dedication as I do work. They go online and talk about work and life balance it's easy to sit up high looking down and hypocritically counsel others while with the same breath have one person doing all the work (I really wish I was exaggerating when I say one person doing all the work). The more money they make the more work I get and my comfort is that I have a job. I was currently working from home and going into the office 1 day a week and as needed. Without no warning as summer break starts I am told to report to the office Monday to Thursday 8-5pm and Fridays I can work from home (how gracious of them). No regard to the fact I have a daughter that just started her summer break. Who cares how that would affect my family. But that is what they have shown me in the last couple of years. They don't care about anything or anyone as long as they get more money and land bigger accounts. They say we are a team but we are not! Truly the more money they make the more Clients I have to service and I don't get additional compensation I just get upset petty bosses with their sarcastic remarks that I am not getting things done on a timely basis. Sadly their expectations of things are so unrealistic. They have no real sense of time but how do you explain that to NOW arrogant individuals who think they are to good for everything and anyone?

I don't like to be pushed against the wall and what at one point made this job bearable which was the ability to work from home (my job I can truly do 90% from home) is no longer there. The men I used to work for are no longer there. Speaking to a mutual party and explaining where I was mentally and emotionally they hit me with such a truthful question. They said you have always shown them so much loyalty where is their loyalty for you? This was my end job the one I was going to retire from I never took into account that they could change or maybe I just never saw their true colors until now. The question still stands; where is their loyalty towards me with so much dedication and hard work that I have put into this company to be as successful as it has become.

Jury is out and we will see in the next couple of days what I decide.
